of Ohio, this cultivar was registered in
2021
as a seedling of H. 'One
Man's Treasure' ×
H. 'Designer Genes'. It is a medium size (15
inches high by 23 inches wide) hosta with
green foliage. The ovate leaves are slightly wavy and
slightly corrugated. Its petioles have dark red speckles
which extend up into the midrib of the leaf blade. It
bears deep purple, tubular flowers from August into
September and sets seeds but their viability was unknown
at the time of registration.
According to the Registration materials:
"Burgundy red petiole color extends up into the leaf.
Flowers bloom several at a time and red scapes branch
occasionally...waxy & dull at emergence becoming shiny
by mid-summer."
