This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Band of Gold' which was registered in 2005 by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan. An upright growing hosta, 'Boogie Blues' is a large size plant (26 inches high). The blue-green foliage has a pale yellow marginal variegation. Near white flowers bloom from late June into July.
