Vladimir Mirka of the Czech Republic in 2016, this
small size (7 inches high by 19 inches wide) cultivar is a
sport of H. 'Ripple Effect'. It has blue-green
foliage with a greenish yellow medial (center)
variegation. The leaves are heavily rippled, glaucous on
top, moderately twisted, folded and intensely wavy. Pale
lavender, tubular flowers bloom from mid-July into
August on scapes about 8 inches tall.
The registration
materials state: "Differs from its parent in that it has
wide, two-tone (intensely blue-green & green) margins
that frequently jet towards the center. Needs some sun
for a bright yellow center. Very thick leaves, sun
tolerant & slug resistant...greenish-yellow center changes to
yellow, margins maintain their blue-green color all
season.
