This cultivar has
H. 'Sieboldiana'
in its background. It was registered in 1986 by
Alex Summers of Delaware. It
forms a giant size (29 inches high by 50 inches wide) mound of
blue-green foliage. The leaves are lightly rippled, moderately
corrugated and have thick substance. Near white flowers bloom
from mid-June into July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Its edge, however, is not as intensely rippled as such
piecrust classics as 'Donahue Piecrust', 'Choo Choo Train', and
'Green
Piecrust'.
