Originated
by
Dr. Ralph (Herb)
and Dorothy Benedict of Michigan and registered on
their behalf by
Rod Kuenster and
The American Hosta
Society in
2010,
this cultivar is of unidentified parentage.
It is a medium size hosta around 12 inches high
by 30 inches wide with medium blue-green foliage. The nearly round foliage is
slightly cupped, slightly folded and moderately corrugated. It bears near white
flowers from July into August on scapes 17 to 20 inches tall. Seed viability was
unknown at the time of registration.
The registration materials state: "...medium
substance with good substance and pebbling."
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "As 'Blue Pebbles' matures, the leaf blade broadens
to a heart shape and the corrugation becomes more intense."
