This cultivar was registered
in 2001 by
Peter and Jean
Ruh of Ohio. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...registered as a hybrid of a
Tardiana sport...but
actually a sport of a
H. 'Sieboldiana'-type plant."
'Blue Music' becomes a large size hosta about 24 inches
tall with a spread of around 48 inches. The blue-green
foliage has yellow streaked variegation. Its leaves are
broadly oblong to ovate, have slight corrugation and a
moderate bloom on the bottom. Near white flowers bloom
from late June into July.
