This non-registered cultivar of unidentified parentage was originated by
Ron Livingston of Michigan. A large size hosta, 'Blue Dogwood' grows to
about 19 inches in height with a spread of around 40
inches. The blue-green foliage is ovate shaped, slightly
rippled and lacks corrugation.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Even in August, the leaves...exhibit some blue
coloration. The many seed pods that develop weight down
the scapes."
