2022,
this slow growing cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Paradise
Joyce' ×
H. 'Purple Haze'. It is a small to medium size hosta about 13 inches tall by 16 inches wide with
intensely powder blue foliage. The leaves are slightly
cupped, moderately corrugated and have a leathery
substance. They are broadly ovate and have purplish
color at the base of the petiole. In July, it bears
bell-shaped, pinkish lavender flowers on scapes about 10
inches in height but does not set seed. The
registration materials state: "Intense powder blue,
small leaves are slightly cupped with glaucous
undersides. Plant matures to a small rosette shape...Holds
blue color well past mid-summer ." |
