This cultivar is a seedling of a Tardiana-type hosta and was registered in 2003 by Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio on behalf of the originator, Heinz Klose of Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany. It develops into a medium size plant with intensely blue-green foliage. The leaves are ovate, wavy, slightly cupped, moderately corrugated and have thick substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August.
