in
2019,
this medium to large size (18 inches high by 48 inches
wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Christmas Tree
Gala' ×
H. 'Solar Flare'. The foliage is medium green
with a wide yellow marginal variegation. Its heavily
rippled leaves are
broadly ovate, slightly cupped, slightly twisted,
slightly corrugated and intensely wavy. The yellow from
the leaf margin carries down into the petioles. Pure
white flowers bloom from July into August on scapes 24
to 30 inches tall followed by viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Wide margins on a
nice wavy-edged leaf...yellow margins fade to white
throughout the season." |
