This cultivar was listed on the MyHostas Database website. Originated by Marco and Joyce Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands, this non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. The foliage is green on this large size (27 inches high by 68 inches wide) plant has an upright, vase-shape. The leaves have deeply impressed veins, are slightly wavy and faintly corrugated. Very pale lavender flowers bloom in late July.  'Big Bang' is one of the first hostas to emerge in the spring.
