Registered by
The American Hosta Society in 1986, this cultivar was introduced by
Carl Betcher. It is a seedling of H. 'Tokudama' with a leaf blade that turns upward on the edges and has near
white flowers from June into July. The leaves are moderately
corrugated and have thick substance.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...always attracts attention, not
only for its rich blue foliage color, but for the way its leaf
margins often cup upward."
