This cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Abiqua Drinking Gourd' × H. 'Empress Wu' which was registered by Gerry Hicks of Maine in 2015. It is an upright growing medium size hosta about 17 inches high by 31 inches wide. The dark green foliage starts the season light blue-green. It is slightly rippled, slightly cupped, moderately folded, slightly wavy and dull on top. Deep purple flowers with darker purple stripes bloom from late July into August. It sets viable seeds.
