This cultivar is a sport of H. 'Blue Cadet' which forms a small size mound thick yellow foliage with blue-green marginal variegation. It bears lavender flowers in mid-summer. The cultivar was registered by Danny Van Eechaute of Belgium in 2008.

According to The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell and Michael Shadrack (2009), "...an exciting new mini resembling a small H. 'June'."
