of Bea Ornamental Nursery in Poland in 2016, this small size (9 inches high by 17
inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Fragrant
Blue'. It is an intensely blue-green hosta with creamy
white medial (center) variegation. The leaves are flat,
ovate with petioles the same color as the leaf blades.
Its pale lavender, striped flowers bloom from mid-July
into August on scapes up to about 18 inches in height.
The registration
materials state: "Exhibits unique combination of
light creamy/near white leaf center with powdery
blue-green irregular margins which jet inward & are
apparent when plant emerges. Also has very decorative
bracts, fragrant flowers and white seed pods...Blue-green color lasts well into
autumn. Margins get greener & creamy center gets whiter
later."
