Registered by Mark Zilis of Illinois in 2010, this cultivar is an
open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Venetian Blue'.
It is a semi-upright, fast growing hosta that reaches
medium size (15 inches high by 33 inches wide). The
leaves are intensely blue-green, heavily rippled, slightly wavy, ovate and have a glaucous bloom on top.
Medium purple flowers bloom from mid-July into August on
scapes 12 to 20 inches tall.
According to the
registration materials: "...heavily frilled and rippled, blue-green leaves.. .medium green by mid-July..."
