This H. venusta hybrid
is a non-registered cultivar from
Ken Anderson of Minnesota. It grows into a medium size hosta about
12 inches high with a spread of 30 inches. The foliage is ovate
with smooth texture. Its bright purple flowers bloom in July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This large form of H. venusta bears purple flowers
on relatively tall scapes. Its overall appearance indicates it
likely is a hybrid with H. nakaiana or another
species."
