This cultivar is a seedling of H. longipes var latifolia which was found in Japan by Hajime Sugita of Japan. It is small size, non-registered hosta with gold foliage that has a very thin green marginal variegation. The foliage turns all green by mid-summer. Its leaves are slightly rippled and shiny on top. Purple flowers bloom in September.
