This cultivar from Dr. Charles Purtymun at Walden West Nursery of Oregon was registered in 1988. It grows to medium size about 15 inches in height with a width of 36 inches. The leaves are moderately cupped and heavily corrugated. H. 'Abiqua Blue Madonna' bears pale lavender flowers in July.
