This non-registered cultivar is one of many, many sports of H. 'Elegans'. As with the others, it makes a large size mound of blue-green foliage except that it has a narrow white marginal variegation.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...develops drawstring effect. By midsummer, the white margin usually tears and turns brown. Another one to avoid."
 

In his comments about H. 'Northern Halo', Zilis says that it does not develop drawstring effect. This is confusing in light of the Journal statement that the two cultivars are the same.

An article in The Hosta Journal (1994 Vol. 25 No. 2) states that H. 'Nutty Husband' and H. 'Northern Halo' are the same plant.
