Originated by Ian Chrystal of England and named by Marco Fransen and Joyce Fransen of Fransen Hostas in the Netherlands this non-registered hosta is a seedling of H. 'Dorothy Benedict' × H. 'Frances Williams'. It is a large size (20 inches tall) with blue-green foliage that has a greyish cast and yellowish-white streaked variegation. The flowers are lavender in color.

The Fransen Hostas website says, "A seedling from Ian Chrystal of years ago and deserved to be named after all these years."

Also, the parent cultivars are named after two of the "First Ladies" of Hostadom, Dorothy Benedict and Frances Williams.
