This cultivar is a stable form of a streaked seedling of H. 'Bravo' which was registered in 2003 by Randy Goodwin of Indiana. A medium size hosta (15 inches high by 36 inches wide), 'Eagle Spirit' has medium green foliage which has a creamy yellow marginal variegation which changes to white later in the season. The leaves are moderately wavy and have smooth texture. Bright purple flowers bloom from late July into August.
