registered this cultivar in 1985. It is an
H.
'Tokudama' seedling that has
typical blue foliage and cupped leaves with thick substance
and is slug resistant. The medium size (17 inches high by 32
inches wide) mound bears near white
flowers from late June into July followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "Worth the trouble of placing carefully in light to
moderate shade to retain the superb leaf color for as long as possible. Avoid
positions under trees or in windy sites."
